Josh Klein is one of the youngest members of Team Texarkana and Team Jackass. Don’t let his age fool you – this kid is lightening fast.
Josh’s triathlon debut was at 13 years of age. Despite a bike crash and some painful ‘road rash’, Josh not only finished the race but limped home with hardware placing 2nd place in his age division – he has been collecting hardware ever since routinely bringing home medals in local 5 K’s, and last year winning his age division in the Four States Triathlon.
Josh competed in the Run the Line Half Marathon at 14 years of age, running a sub 2 hour half marathon.
Josh swims for Texas High, the breast stroke is his favored stroke. In his last two triathlons, Josh has dominated the swim, emerging from the water out-swimming most adults and seasoned triathletes.
Josh has earned the title of fastest Jewish Triathlete in the Greater Ark-La-Tex region, snatching the title from his Dad’s (Doc K’s) hands.
He has participated in our summer Time Trials and looks forward to the upcoming tri season.
